Inhibitex is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the development of innovative
products that can treat or prevent serious infections. We are applying our expertise in the development
of a portfolio of high-value, differentiated infectious disease therapies, each of
which has the potential to significantly improve existing standards of care. Our pipeline addresses
major viral and bacterial infections, including herpes zoster (shingles), HCV, and S. aureus infections.
Our strategy is to create value for our shareholders by advancing our development programs through human proof of concept clinical trials and subsequently collaborating with major pharmaceutical companies for late-stage clinical development and subsequent commercialization. We have an existing corporate partnership with Wyeth to develop a staphylococcal vaccine based on our MSCRAMM® protein platform.
